Smart Mobility Citython – Award Ceremony

The Citython is an event that analyses mobility challenges faced by cities, where multi-disciplinary teams of students and professionals from different backgrounds and expertise (architecture, urban planning, data science, engineering, human science, and business creation) compete against each other to provide innovative solutions. In this Award Ceremony, the winning team for each challenge will be announced by Monique List-de Roos (Alderman Mobility and Transport, city of Eindhoven).

Three challenges
Participants are tackling three challenges:
• Traffic safety in school zones – Eindhoven has the ambition to be a safe city with as few traffic victims as possible. The city aims to ensure that all school zones are safe.
• Travel to the campus – Brainport Eindhoven is a breeding ground for technology and innovation. The new way of working in this region includes traveling together to campus locations. This Collective Private Transportation system must be as smart as the companies and employees who use it.
• Make the city healthy – Eindhoven is growing: in the next 20 years 62,000 extra homes will be built and 72,000 jobs created. With this influx of new residents, how can we ensure a green and liveable city?

Programme
The kick-off of the event will take place on May 18.
The registration deadline is on May 23 and on May 26 the teams will be announced.

The hackathon officially starts on May 26, with individual mentoring sessions on Friday May 28 and Monday May 31.

On June 2, the winning team for each challenge will be announced. €1.500,- will be given out in awards.
